"Sunshine Fields No. 1" - 4x4 inch acrylic on canvas
Sunshine Fields No. 1 – a 4x4 inch original acrylic painting by Melanie Fenton - 2021
About the Spring Studies:
This year, spring has felt especially urgent. A year has come and gone and we have all been waiting to emerge once again. In the waiting I've found hope in the inevitability of the change of seasons, especially spring. Spring always comes. New life emerges. The greens quietly transition from an electric chartreuse to a deep shade of lime. The sun warms our faces and we remember, and we are new again.
These studies are and exploration of growth, renewal, and sunshine that arose from more waiting. Waiting for more time to paint, squeezing creativity into the margins, and still finding myself growing - even in the waiting.
Size: 4” x 4” x 0.75”
Medium: Acrylic paint on hand-stretched clear-gessoed canvas. Initialed on the edge, signed and titled on the back. Ready to hang.
